The Paragon Jr is the workhorse of the DGN Line. Desgined with the working, gigging musician in mind, this guitar is a stripped down, bare bones, tone monster.
With its all Spanish Cedar construction this solid body guitar tips the scales at aproximately 6 pounds. Its light and resonant and just a blast to play. The body features a belly carve and a forearm carve for the ultimate in playing comfort.
The pickup is just as unique as the rest of the guitar. The Hand Wound DGN P-90 features a Center tap. When the pickup is wound, a certain number of turns are put onto the bobbin. Then a center tap is inserted. After that, the rest of the coil is wound onto the bobbin. My method keeps this P-90 a "True" single coil pickup but makes it more versatile by giving you 2 pickup tones in one. First you get a full sounding, high output modern P-90 (thick mids pushes a tube amp very well), and then when the coil is tapped, you get a low output vintage style P-90 with almost T-Style bridge pickup vibes.
Lastly, for those who need more versatility out of this guitar, a neck pickup can be added for an additional charge.
