Hardware
Here at DGN Custom Guitars Im always searching for ways to set myself apart. In the Summer of 2024 I decided to buy a small milling machine to try making some small parts for my custom guitars. One thing led to another and I was hooked on metal work and machining.
My next purchase was a production Turret lathe, capable of making any type of round part I would need, quickly, with high accuracy and repeatability. This was a literal game changer.
In the summer of 2025, I realized I had out grown my beginner Mill and purchased a 1958 J-Head Bridgeport Milling Machine. The Bridgeport is the industry standard manual milling machine and has been since the 40's. It's rigid enough to handle just about anything I'll be throwing at it, including my ever expanding line of guitar hardware.
Below is just the beginning. In the coming months I'll be adding more Knob and control plate styles as well as switch tips for both blade switches and pickup selector toggle switches. Check back often to see what's new.
